On September 24, ACOMUJERZA marked its 13th anniversary, celebrating with a party on that Sunday. ACOMUJERZA is partnered with People of Hope Church in Rochester, Minnesota.

The cooperative was officially established and recognized in 2008, but the idea was born much earlier in 2002. The history has been long and full of joy and sadness, a lot of work has allowed to this group to be where they are now, and we hope in God that they can continue to grow for many more years.

The celebration was held at the home of the cooperative’s president Teresa Mejía. Most of the members participated, as well as guests from other organizations, including Sister Parish.

Full of smiles and laughter, the party brought people together with a cozy atmosphere of family and unity. The day included music, games, many congratulations, food and of course, that element every birthday must have: a cake to close the evening.

As Sister Parish we want to congratulate ACOMUJERZA and all its members on this anniversary and we wholeheartedly thank them for allowing us to be part of such an important event and welcoming us to the family. May God bless the cooperative, each of its members and their families today and always.

El pasado 24 de septiembre, ACOMUJERZA cumplió su 13° aniversario, y lo celebró con una fiesta el día domingo 25. ACOMUJERZA está hermanada con la iglesia luterana Gente de Esperanza en Rochester.

La cooperativa fue oficialmente establecida y reconocida a partir del 2008, aunque como grupo, la idea nació mucho antes, aproximadamente en el año 2002. La historia ha sido larga y llena de alegrías y tristezas, mucho trabajo y mucho esfuerzo ha permitido a este grupo llegar hasta donde se encuentra y esperamos en Dios que puedan seguir creciendo y acumulando muchos años más.

La celebración se llevó a cabo en la casa de la presidenta Teresa Mejía, y participaron la mayoría de los socios y socias, más invitados de otras organizaciones entre las que Iglesias Hermanas estaba presente.

La fiesta llena de risas y carcajadas reunió a las personas en un acogedor sentimiento de familia y unidad. Hubo música, juegos, muchas felicitaciones, comida y por supuesto, como no puede faltar en un cumpleaños: un pastel para cerrar la velada.

Como Iglesias Hermanas queremos felicitar a ACOMUJERZA y a todos sus integrantes por celebrar este aniversario y agradecemos de todo corazón permitirnos ser parte de tan importante evento y darnos la bienvenida a la familia. Que Dios bendiga a la cooperativa, a cada uno de sus integrantes y sus familias hoy y siempre.
