Our Board of Directors had their first meeting of 2021 on February 6. Looking back on 2020, due to the incredible dedication and hard work of the Sister Parish staff, the Board and our communities, Sister Parish, Inc. is a strong and vibrant organization going into 2021. In spite of the pandemic we are in a good place to start the year. We are doing well financially and communities are excited about keeping their relationships alive and growing.

Due to the ongoing pandemic this year, we are hoping that a few churches will sign up for virtual delegations with their sister communities. These delegations will require about the same amount of time to organize as an in-person delegation. We have learned that since in-person delegations aren’t possible, communicating virtually makes it possible to stay in touch. The Board and staff are excited about continuing to take Sister Parish in this new direction. As circumstances change, we are able to adapt to a new way of thinking and doing things in order to keep our connections strong.

We are so appreciative of all of our supporters, whether it’s financial support or if it’s your time and talent given to Sister Parish, Inc. Everyone’s contributions make Sister Parish stronger. We saw in 2020 how generous our community members, churches and friends of Sister Parish are. Thank you!

Nuestra Junta Directiva tuvo su primera reunión del 2021 el 6 de febrero. Mirando hacia atrás al 2020, debido a la increíble dedicación y arduo trabajo del personal de Iglesias Hermanas, la Junta Directiva y nuestras comunidades, Iglesias Hermanas es una organización fuerte y vibrante entrando al  2021. A pesar de la pandemia, estamos en un buen lugar para comenzar el año. Nos está yendo bien financieramente y las comunidades están entusiasmadas por mantener vivas y seguir haciendo crecer sus relaciones.

Debido a la pandemia en curso este año, esperamos que algunas iglesias se inscriban en delegaciones virtuales con sus comunidades hermanas. Estas delegaciones requerirán aproximadamente la misma cantidad de tiempo para organizarse como una delegación en persona. Hemos aprendido que, dado que las delegaciones en persona no son posibles, la comunicación virtual hace posible mantenerse en contacto. La Junta y el personal están entusiasmados de seguir llevando a Iglesias Hermanas en esta nueva dirección. A medida que cambian las circunstancias, podemos adaptarnos a una nueva forma de pensar y hacer las cosas para mantener nuestras conexiones sólidas.
