Activities planned for March 10-13, 2022

Our March virtual delegation events will commemorate International Women’s Day. Every year, communities in Guatemala, El Salvador, and the United States mark this day by honoring the contributions of women and by demanding equality and justice. This year, we will join this commemoration by sharing the reality of women, honoring those who fight for a more just world, and building community.

What is a virtual delegation? A real experience!
The pandemic tries to keep us apart, but we are stronger. As a Sister Parish family we find ways to stay connected, and love is what gives us strength. Let’s share our cultures, our traditions, our faith, and our struggles for equality. A virtual delegation lets us connect from the comfort of our home, yet still reunite with our friends and meet new people from North and South.
When are the live video calls?
- Thursday, March 10 – 6:00pm (U.S. Central time)
Theme: Migration - Saturday, March 12 – 4:00pm (U.S. Central time).
Theme: Community organizing in Guatemala - Sunday, March 13 – 5:00pm (U.S. Central time).
Theme: Honoring women leaders in El Salvador, spiritual reflection and music
**Please note that Daylight Saving Time starts on March 13
Join us for the live video calls as you can. All calls will be with people from the U.S., El Salvador, and Guatemala (as technology permits). Even if you can’t make the live calls, you can still register to receive our emails with videos from Guatemala and El Salvador and recordings of live calls.
